Validation...

Just got back from a wonderful Texas trip. It was so great to see my nephews (and the rest of the family!)  We hung out at the pool and went to see a few movies. The boys are water bugs!

The 4th of July t-shirts were a hit :)  As were the pillowcases. I thought the Super Hero ones would be the big hit, but I think it was Crayons that was the big winner.

We drove 13.5 hours back on Monday, and I got home just in time to take a quick shower and run to quilt guild. It was important to go because this was our challenge month- and I had done my "art quilt" to enter the challenge.  There were 10 entries this year for art quilt and tons for the block challenge (use specific fabrics to make a block).  The same quilter won both challenges!  Her art quilt was phenomenal. I was really excited though because my silly art quilt (which I made to try techniques and because last year only 2 people entered the challenge and I thought my odds might be good) placed THIRD!  I was super excited because the 10 other quilts were all phenomenally well made and very creative.  It was pretty exciting to have the guild vote that they liked my work (the vote was before they knew who made which quilt.)
